Not exactly recipes for what you would like to eat but still can whip up in your kitchen :)
Dog Biscuits
1 cup wholegrain flour (strong)
about 1 cup cooked spinach or other cooked vegetable
sesame seeds (optional)
some water or yoghurt
In
a bowl, mix flour, vegetable and sesame, adding water or yoghurt gradually so that the
dough barely holds together (it shouldn't be sticky). You may not need
any water depending on how wet the vegetables are. Knead it a little.
Roll it into 7mm thick and cut into shapes you like.
Bake in the preheated oven (about 160-170°C) for about 15 min.
Lip Balm
I
use lip balm a lot. Since I'm sure I end up eating some of it, I
thought I would make my own with the ingredients that are more or less
edible.1/2 tsp beeswax
about 1.5 tbs total, combination of oils of your choice
(e.g. castor oil, vitamin E oil, almond oil, coconut butter, etc.)
2-3 drops of essential oil
(e.g. lavender, peppermint, frankincense)
1/2 tsp manuka honey
- In
a clean heat-proof cup, put beeswax. Place the cup in a pan with hot
water in it. Stir with a clean stick until the wax dissolves.
- Gradually add oil and honey, stirring constantly until the liquid looks transparent.
- Remove the cup from the pan and add essential oil and stir quickly.
- Pour into a clean container immediately and let it cool to harden.
*You can adjust the amount of beeswax and oil to make creamier balm for your hands and feet for example.
